Processing orders

Discover the three ways to process orders and when each method works best.

ShopLinkr gives you three ways to process orders. The method that fits best depends on how many orders you process and how your warehouse is set up.

Method 1: Processing individually

The simplest approach. You open an order, pick a shipping option and click the green check mark to process it. A shipping label is created right away.

When should you use this?

  • You only have a handful of orders per day.

  • You want to quickly process a specific order in between other tasks.

  • The order needs special attention, for example a custom shipping option.

Method 2: Processing in bulk

Select multiple orders at once in the order overview and process them all in one go. A batch is created automatically with every selected order. The shipping labels are generated in bulk, so you can download or print them all at once.

When should you use this?

  • You have several orders ready that all use the same shipping option.

  • You want to handle a group of orders quickly without a picking process.

  • Your orders mostly consist of a single product each and do not need extensive picking.

Method 3: Using pick lists

The most comprehensive method, ideal for larger volumes. You create a pick list, gather all the products in the warehouse and then process the orders at the packing station.

The picking process works in two steps:

  1. Picking: walk through the warehouse and collect all the products on the pick list. Optionally, you can work with bins to sort orders right away while picking. We recommend this when most of your orders consist of 2 or more different types of products.

  2. Packing and processing: scan a product (or bin) at the packing station. The matching order opens automatically, the shipping label is created and, if you like, printed straight away through AutoPrint.

When should you use this?

  • You process dozens or hundreds of orders every day.

  • Orders often contain multiple products that need to be picked from the warehouse.

  • You want to set up the picking process as efficiently as possible and keep mistakes to a minimum.

  • You work with several warehouse staff members.
