# Stock value report

> See the total value of your stock on a specific date.

The stock value report shows you the total value of your stock on a specific date. For each product you can see how many units you have in stock and what their total value is based on your purchase prices. This gives you a clear view of how much capital is tied up in your stock at any time.

### What do you see per product?

| Column              | Description                                        |
| ------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- |
| **Title**           | The name of the product                            |
| **EAN**             | The product's EAN code(s)                          |
| **SKU**             | The SKU number                                     |
| **Available stock** | The number of units on the chosen date             |
| **Stock value**     | The value of the stock (quantity x purchase price) |

At the top of the report you can see the **total stock value** and the **number of products** in the report.

### Filtering

| Filter                                | Description                                                                                                          |
| ------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Date**                              | Choose the date for which you want to view the stock value. This also lets you look back at historical stock values. |

### Exporting

Click **Export** to download the report. You receive the file by email.

### Requirements

To calculate the stock value correctly, your products need a [purchase price](/en/support/inventory-value). Products without a purchase price are still shown but have a value of zero. [Bundles](/en/support/create-a-bundle) are not included, because their value is determined by the individual products they consist of.

### How do you use this report?

- **Financial insight**: know exactly how much capital is tied up in your stock. Handy for your bookkeeping and financial planning.

- **Track trends**: compare the stock value on different dates to see whether your stock is growing or shrinking.
