# Mark an order as high priority

> Make sure urgent orders are processed first.

Do you have an order that needs to be processed with priority? You can mark it as high priority. The order gets a visual indicator and is the first to be added to a pick list.

### How do you mark an order as high priority?

1. Go to **Orders** and find the order you want to give priority.

2. Click the action menu (the three dots) next to the order.

3. Click **Mark as high priority**.

4. Confirm your choice.

The order now has a visual indicator, so you can see at a glance that it has priority.

### What is the effect?

When you create a pick list, high priority orders are added first. That way they are picked and processed sooner than regular orders.

### Removing high priority

Want to remove the high priority again? Click the action menu next to the order once more and choose **Remove high priority**.

### Good to know

- You can only mark orders with the status Open, Deferred or Backorder as high priority.

- With rules, you can also mark orders as high priority automatically based on conditions. See "[What are rules?](/en/support/what-are-rules)" for more information.
